Description

Commission from :iconnintendiehard: who had a couple of spare bucks and told me he wondered how adult Chi-Chi from Dragon Ball would look in her childhood armor.

Decided to give her helmet a sorta style like her dad, the Ox king, that's why she has two of her blade-boomerang thingies which resemble her dad's horns, she's also wearing some goggles similar to his :D

I also decided to give her the Power Pole, Basho-sen (Bansho Fan in English) and Flying Nimbus, I know there's a game where she uses all of these, and that sounds pretty cool :D

Anyway, while drawing this, I started wondering, why DIDN'T Chi-Chi wore her armor anymore? I mean, sure, she was first shown using that fighting attire at the Martial Arts Tournament to surprise us all viewers and Goku and his friends to who she really was. But after that, she just kept using those Asian-like duds that weren't anything special, I never did really like that.

I mean, there's been a ton of stylish DB characters out there, and Chi-Chi and the Ox King had one of the most particular styles in the whole series, why did they take that away from them? I know, I know, Chi-Chi just wouldn't be able to fit in her old armor, and it was nice to see the Ox King's friendlier face, but couldn't they have changed attire while preserving their barbaric-like look? That sucks ._.

After that, Chi-Chi just fell off the grid for the rest of the series, all of them, sure, she never had many appearances in the original DB to begin with, but she was still the main character's wife, but that just seemed to hinder her specialness :noes:

Anyway, you wanna read a funny story? In the Latino dub they showed us here in Mexico, they actually named Chi-Chi as "Milk" which, it's been said it's the literal translation of what Chi Chi means in japanese, however, she was one of the very few characters that got her name changed in the Spanish translation, most of all other characters kept their original name, like Tenshinhan is NOT "Tien Shinhan", Mr. Satan is NOT "Hercule", Bulma is not "Ballma", lol just kidding, but that's how you Americans pronounce it :XD: and so forth.

So, the reason why I think they decided to call her Milk instead of Chi Chi, is that "chichi" is a very common slang for "breast" in Mexico (I know in Japan and other places as well), but here, it's just plain lewd, although that doesn't seem to be as common anymore as way back then, since we're adopting the American slang of "boob" and "boobies" instead (though we just say and write it like "bubis"), still, some old farts still use the term "chichis" from time to time
