Okay, this is certainly one of the hardest and coldest lessons I've learned in life, never to lend something that I'm not prepared to lose, though, money is the least of my worries if I don't get back, money comes and goes, and it actually goes more than often, so, I really wouldn't place value in such thing, anyway, I have a harder time lending something more tangible and value to me, like tools, for instance, I REALLY don't like lending my camera, no ANYONE, because when I get it back, I start spotting scratches that I don't know if they were there before, or, I dunno, it just feels DIFFERENT, and makes me feel bad for lending something I considered valuable =_=

Again, back with the money, it really doesn't matter to me much, like, for instance, I was once approached by a really old lady at my work place, who told me she was fired from work, and was looking for a bit of help, like a lot of people, my first reaction was to turn down on the beggar, but after she left, I started feeling bad about it, I mean, she looked almost as old as my grandmother, so, I got out of my store and went looking for her, and gave her whatever I had in my wallet, it wasn't much though.

I told this to my mom, and she had a sit on me, telling me that there's a lot of people out there just saying that they're poor just to get some quick money for God-knows-what, and yeah, I understand that is a possibility, and if that was the case, well, at least my conscience was at peace for help a bit, though, even if her case were to be true, my money wouldn't have helped her much either, so, eh.

Smiles is property of me :D

lol, that reminds me that i lend my polystation (not a playstation just a kind of NES where you could play famicom and nes games that looks like a playstation) to the son of a friend of my dad that was accused of something and got stuck in house arrest for a month along with a bunch of dudes, then he got cleared of all charges along with the dudes, the police officers confiscated everything, including my game system, so i never got it back, gotta say that friend of my dad now owes me 60 dls... well, i kinda knew it wasn't coming back, that's kinda why i didn't lend him my playstation2 or the psone, well, now i know better that i should make sure someone is trustworthy (or the cops are not involved) before lending my things, and as you say, money comes and goes, and it's always good for your karma to help someone in need...
